STRUCTURAL INTEGRATION
Case Report AwardHere is what Bernie has to say about writing a case report:
Completing the case study helped reinforce the importance of working with the whole person, how an injury and surgery impacts not just the sight of trauma but ripples out to affect other parts of the body. Using validated tools to measure change was beneficial for both the case study and the client and I would encourage the use of any such tool in clinical practice to support felt and visible changes.
Writing a case study I feel is part of being a practitioner, we are all responsible for feeding into the clinical evidence base for our modality, and for other health practitioners to gain a deeper understanding about our work. There are good resources to support the process, along with other SI practitioners with experience. We never stop learning and a case study is a great way to consolidate some of our knowledge.
And I loved learning from my client, as she did learning about herself. We are in a privileged position to work with people in such a way. And was delighted to share my news with her, and with the others that helped me on this journey.

The Ida P. Rolf Research Foundation congratulates all practitioners who submitted case studies and thanks them for adding to our collective knowledge of structural integration. The authors are submitting the reports for journal publication where knowledge of the results can reach a wide audience. We will post links when they are available.
