Unraveling the biomechanics of soft tissue function in health and disease
A presentation from 2024–2025 Radcliffe fellow Anne M. Robertson, an engineer whose research interests lie in the multidisciplinary study of the relationship between the physical structure of such soft tissue organs as arteries and the bladder and their mechanical functions. At Radcliffe, she will address fundamental questions about the mechanical role of diverse phenotypes of vascular calcification and how this knowledge can be used to improve medical treatment of diseases of brain arteries.
